The Darfur People Union in the UK and Ireland (DPU) is an independent non-governmental body representing all the Darfurians war survivors in the UK and Ireland.
The main goal is to achieve a just solution to the crisis in Darfur by mobilizing campaigns to address the humanitarian disasters facing the territory to ensure the rights of the people of Darfur are not violated and the genocide in darfur is brought to an end
(DPU) struggles to find initiatives to preserve unity and rights of the Darfurians community in the UK and Ireland.
(DPU) was founded in London in 2003 after a number of preparatory activities and consultations between the Darfurians who were resident in the UK and Ireland, the outcome was the constituent congress of the union which approved the Union constitution.
We aim to be a role model of qualitative unity and coexistence among the people of Darfur in particular and to the Sudanese people in general. We also, work to integrate the people of Darfur in The British society, help them to continue their education and preparation for studies and research that contribute to the development of Darfur. ·

The Union was able to achieve a presence in the domestic arena and Europe through demonstrations , seminars, conferences and throug it's political principle, as has become the most important representative of the Darfurians in all the forums and gatherings, meetings, regional and global levels.
